Job summary

In4Matic is seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to strengthen how data is managed, structured and leveraged across the organization. You will embed governance practices, improve data quality and support data owners and stewards within a complex data-driven environment.

Responsibilities include clarifying ownership, coaching stewards, coordinating the data catalog, ensuring metadata accuracy, and promoting data literacy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Data, IT, Economics or Business.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, BI or data management.
• Hands-on experience implementing data governance in large organizations.
• Experience with data catalog implementation and management.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR implications on data management.
• Proficient in SQL and data governance tools.

Responsibilities

• Define roles/responsibilities for data owners and data stewards.
• Coach data owners and stewards in daily activities.
• Organize data steward community meetings and track actions.
• Promote data-driven culture across the organization.
• Coordinate maintenance and improvement of the data catalog and glossary.
• Ensure metadata accuracy and completeness per standards.
• Lead data quality improvement initiatives with prioritized actions.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and guidelines.
• Support data literacy initiatives and training opportunities.
