In4Matic in Brussels seeks a Senior Data Governance Analyst to strengthen how data is understood, documented, and governed across the client’s organization. This hands-on role blends data analysis, metadata management, and stakeholder engagement to implement governance principles in practice.

You will map data ownership, document data flows, and contribute to data governance frameworks while ensuring GDPR compliance and integrating tools like Collibra or OpenMetadata into daily workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience analyzing datasets, metadata, or data flows.
• Strong ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and translate it into documentation.
• Experience building or refining data governance frameworks, standards, and working agreements.
• Knowledge of data quality concepts, remediation actions, and metadata management.
• Experience with BPM and business process development.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable documents.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data governance principles is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and document datasets, data sources, metadata, and data flows to identify gaps and ambiguities.
• Map data ownership and responsibilities, including Data Owners and Data Stewards.
• Develop and refine data governance frameworks, standards, and working agreements.
• Identify data quality and metadata issues and define remediation actions.
• Translate information from stakeholders into clear process descriptions and overviews.
• Register and maintain datasets, business terms, and metadata in governance tooling (Collibra, OpenMetadata).
• Support practical implementation of governance agreements within processes.
• Contribute to BPM and governance adoption across stakeholders.
• Coordinate governance initiatives and follow-up activities as needed.
