Talencia is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst for a Brussels-based banking client. This hybrid role starts ASAP for an initial 6-month contract with potential extension to 2027.

You will join the banking data team to transform complex datasets into reliable business insights. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development, data extraction, and database modelling skills, and be comfortable collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver reports and dashboards

Qualifications

• Senior Data Analyst with banking domain exposure is preferred.
• Strong SQL development and data modelling skills are essential.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.

• SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for financial and customer data.

Location: Brussels

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months + extension, potentially until end of 2027

Working Mode: Hybrid / partially remote

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will join a banking data team and play a key role in transforming complex datasets into reliable business insights.

This is a strongly technical Data Analyst position, with a major focus on SQL development, data extraction and database modelling.

Key responsibilities

• SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, clean and analyze large volumes of financial and customer data.
• Data Modelling: Design, develop and maintain relational and dimensional data models adapted to banking requirements.
• Database Analysis: Analyze existing database structures, identify data relationships and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Data Analysis: Investigate complex datasets and translate them into meaningful business insights.
• Business Intelligence: Translate business requirements into relevant analyses, reports and dashboards for both management and operational teams.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate findings clearly.
• Data Storytelling: Present complex data and analytical results in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
