Job summary

Kuwait Petroleum Europe (Antwerp/Rotterdam) seeks a Senior Credit Control Analyst to safeguard the credit position across Business Segments. You analyse financial information, assess creditworthiness and monitor risks to keep credit exposure under control.

You will collaborate with customers, insurers and external partners, prepare credit reports and support monthly/year-end closes while driving reporting improvements. Fluency in English is essential; Dutch or French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• At least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience in international company or environment.
• Good understanding of financial and administrative processes and systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP; Power BI preferred.
• Analytical, accurate and solution-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare credit reports and KPIs; analyse ageing and deviations for management insight.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities including reconciliations and provisions.
• Work with SAP and credit model; identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
• Keep credit policies up to date and contribute to efficiency projects.

Strong credit management is about more than numbers. It’s about understanding customers, identifying risks and helping the business make well-informed decisions. As a Senior Credit Control Analyst, you safeguard the credit position of customers across different Business Segments within Kuwait Petroleum Europe.

You analyse financial information, assess creditworthiness and closely monitor risks. You connect with Business Segments, customers, credit insurers and external partners and turn complex financial information into clear advice and concrete action.

Your biggest challenge

You combine financial analysis with stakeholder management and a strong understanding of the business. This allows you to support business growth while keeping credit risks under control.

• You assess the creditworthiness of customers, monitor your portfolio and take action to minimise credit risks and potential bad debts.
• You prepare analyses for the Credit Committee, present and defend your cases and take ownership of the agreed actions.
• You work closely with different Business Segments and customers to understand their financial situation and provide clear credit advice.
• You maintain relationships with credit insurers and collection agencies, ensuring optimal insurance levels and following up on bad debt cases.
• You prepare credit reports and KPIs, analyse ageing and exceeding figures and provide management with clear insights and explanations.
• You support monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, insurance premiums and bad debt provisions.
• You work with our credit model and SAP and identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting and processes.
• You keep credit policies and procedures up to date and contribute to projects that make our way of working smarter and more efficient.

You work accurately and take ownership of your responsibilities. At the same time, you communicate easily with colleagues, customers, management and external partners.

You also:

• Have a master’s degree in Finance.
• Bring at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Have experience working within an international company or environment.
• Have a good understanding of financial and administrative processes and systems.
• Have good working knowledge of Excel and SAP. Power BI experience would be great.
• Are analytical, accurate and solution-oriented.
• Organise your work independently and manage different priorities effectively.
• Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with different stakeholders.
• Take initiative and continuously look for ways to improve.
• Are fluent in English and at least one additional language, which is essential for the role. Knowledge of Dutch or French is a strong advantage.
