Job summary

BDO Belgium invites a Senior Consultant to lead transformation projects in the utilities sector, guiding clients through change and driving efficiency and customer-centricity. You will translate business needs into technical requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.

The role emphasises proactive learning, strong English communication, and the ability to operate across diverse teams and client environments within Belgium.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Management or Economics.
• 2–5 years of consultancy and/or energy sector experience.
• Native-level Dutch or French with very good knowledge of the other language, plus strong business English.
• Willingness to learn, proactive and able to handle change.
• Strong ambition to drive impactful change and good stakeholder management.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you'll guide our clients through transformation journeys, offering tailored solutions that address their unique challenges. Here's a glimpse into your typical day :

• Facilitating transformation initiatives to drive efficiency gains and enhance customer focus in the utilities sector.
• Analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions aligned with client strategic objectives.
• Leading discussions and defining communication plans to support employees through significant changes.
• Conducting business analysis and organising workshops to improve customer experience and prepare for digital transformation.
• Collaborating with technical teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure the quality of deliverables.

What do you bring to the table?

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a master's degree in Engineering, Management, or Economics.
• Has 2-5 years of experience as a consultant and/or in the energy sector, with knowledge of sector-specific products and industrial processes.
• Possesses native-level proficiency in Dutch or French, with very good knowledge of the other language, and a profound understanding of business English.
• Is eager to learn, proactive, and thrives on new challenges.
• Has a strong ambition to drive impactful change and make a difference.
• Excels in stakeholder management and works well both independently and as part of a team.
