Job summary

Sopra Steria Next is a leading business and technology consultancy with 4,000+ consultants across Europe. The Senior Consultant role focuses on owning complex client engagements, guiding digital transformation, and contributing to business development within multidisciplinary teams.

You will lead in areas such as IT advisory, project management, and architectural design, while collaborating with clients across public, financial services, and industry sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional consulting experience.
• Proven digital transformation experience for clients.
• Experience in IT Advisory, Project Management, Business/Functional Analysis, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Architectural Design.
• Industry knowledge in Public Sector, Financial Services, or Industry.
• Certifications such as Prince2, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF/Archimate, Leading SAFe are advantageous.
• PSPO I/II or Scrum.org certification is a strong plus.
• Strong client relationship skills and familiarity with business development.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, good knowledge of the other language, and fluent in English.

Your primary focus will be client engagements, which will constitute the majority of your time. These engagements may involve working as part of high‑performing teams embedded within client organisations or contributing to Sopra Steria’s fixed-price projects within multidisciplinary teams.

As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of complex assignments, manage client relationships, develop and apply managerial skills, and support business development activities. On specific projects, your responsibilities may include Project Management, Agile/Scrum facilitation, Business and Functional analysis, or Architectural Design.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: minimum 3 years of professional and relevant experience in consulting.
• Digital Transformation: proven experience contributing to or leading digital transformation initiatives for clients.
• Areas of Expertise: demonstrated skills in one or more of the following domains is a plus: IT Advisory (Target Operating Models), Project Management, Business/Functional Analysis, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Architectural Design, ESG, or Product Management.
• Industry Knowledge: a solid understanding of business processes in one or more of the following sectors is an asset: Public Sector (Federal or Flemish Government), Financial Services (Banking and/or Insurance), or Industry.
• Certifications: recognized certifications such as Prince2, Lean Six Sigma, TOGAF/Archimate, or Leading SAFe are considered an advantage. Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with key ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives are expected. A PSPO I, PSPO II, or Scrum.org certification is a strong plus, along with solid hands-on experience in Agile methodologies.
• Consulting Mindset: strong ability to build and maintain trustworthy client relationships, familiarity with business development approaches, and a strong connection to the Consulting motherhouse.
• Languages: you are fluent in either Dutch or French, have a good working knowledge of the other national language, and are fluent in English.
