Job summary

KEYES, a leading IT partner for European institutions, is seeking a Senior Application Cloud Architect to steer cloud-based solutions and interoperability efforts. You will focus on semantic web technologies, ESCO/EURES/Europass interfaces, and robust architectural governance for multinational projects in Brussels.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers and stakeholders to shape scalable cloud architectures, ensuring security, compliance and long-term maintainability across enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years IT experience, preferably in software development with Java.
• Experience with Semantic Web Stack: RDF/OWL processing with Apache Jena, SPARQL, triple stores (GraphDB, Apache Fuseki), and semantic reasoning engines.
• At least 10 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Practical expertise in system vulnerability assessment.
• Good knowledge of microservices and cloud architecture.
• Cloud and Enterprise architecture certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Cobit.
• Experience/knowledge of Archimate.
• AI and ML integration, architecture governance and MLOps.
• Ability to react to unexpected events efficiently and fast.
• Ability to present to business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance for ESCO and EURES/Europass interoperability.
• Define a strategy to improve IT operations efficiency for the project.
• Prepare and maintain architecture design and technical documentation.
• Coordinate and review current system processes.
• Participate in workshops with external stakeholders.
• Evaluate systems for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
• Interface with business analysts, customers, users, project leaders and developers.
• Analyze integration of different information systems and data modelling.
• Coordinate implementation of the technical architecture.
• Produce software architecture documents.
• Participate in technical working groups and progress meetings.
• Assist during testing, deployment and reporting phases.
• Create designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
• Review architecture of existing systems for cloud migration.
• Design and develop architecture components using cloud services.
