Job summary

Hotel Brussels Airport is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to join its dynamic kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous-Chef to ensure smooth service, uphold high culinary standards, and help develop the kitchen staff.

You will prepare high-quality dishes, support multiple sections, and maintain mise-en-place while ensuring HACCP and hygiene compliance. Flexibility to cover mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
• Flexible and hands-on approach to kitchen operations.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Experience in a hotel environment is an advantage.
• Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established standards.
• Support various kitchen sections depending on operational needs.
• Ensure efficient mise-en-place and service preparation.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Assist in coordinating daily kitchen operations.
• Support and guide junior kitchen team members when required.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment.
• Assist during banqueting events, restaurant service, breakfast service, and other culinary operations.
