Menarini BENELUX is seeking a Senior Buyer to establish and lead the new indirect procurement function for the Benelux region, reporting to the Finance & Administration Director. The role blends hands-on execution with strategic process design.

You will manage an indirect spend of about €10 million across IT, Facility Management, Marketing, Professional Services, Events and Fleet, driving sourcing, contracts, and supplier performance in Benelux.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field; Bac+3 with significant experience also considered.
• 5–7 years of experience in a Senior Indirect Buyer role.
• Pharma or highly regulated sector experience preferred for quality/compliance.
• Operational, hands-on approach in fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency with ERP procurement modules and finance understanding.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint to present strategies to management.
• Fluent French, Dutch, and English; cross-Benelux communication.

Responsabilités

Senior Buyer, Indirect Procurement - Benelux

Role Overview

Menarini BENELUX is looking for a Senior Buyer to set up and lead the new indirect procurement department within the organization. Reporting directly to the Finance & Administration Director, you will lead all purchasing activities within the organization. This is an individual contributor role that invites a blend of day-to-day practical execution and big-picture thinking, as you will be instrumental in thoughtfully shaping our evolving procurement processes.

What You’ll Work On

Governance, Procedure Drafting & Compliance

• Draft, adapt, and structure new procurement procedures from scratch for the Benelux region according to Menarini Group guidelines.
• Harmonize procurement procedures between the company's two business units: the Pharma and Diagnostic divisions.
• Integrate and strictly enforce regulatory compliance and ethical constraints inherent to the pharmaceutical industry within procurement processes.
• Proactively suggest improvements to existing processes, identify savings opportunities, and enhance operational efficiency.

Indirect Procurement Scope & Management

• Manage an indirect procurement portfolio valued at approximately €10 million.
• Independently manage the following categories: IT, Facility Management, Marketing, Professional Services, Events, and Company Fleet.
• Gather, scope, and analyze technical requirements directly with internal stakeholders.
• Lead the end-to-end procurement cycle (sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, contracting) and track supplier performance across the Benelux region.

Finance & Controlling Interface

• Work closely with finance, accounting, and controlling teams for budget monitoring, forecasting, and commitment approvals.
• Ensure proper alignment of Procure-to-Pay processes and actively participate in resolving invoice disputes.

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field; an equivalent combination of a Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) and significant relevant professional experience will also be considered.
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a Senior Indirect Buyer role.
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another highly regulated sector (chemicals, medical devices, etc.) is highly preferred, enabling comfort with quality and compliance constraints.
• Highly operational, hands‑on approach.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment where versatility, resourcefulness, and the ability to go beyond strict job boundaries are essential.
• Operational proficiency with an ERP (Procurement module).
• Solid understanding of finance and management controlling principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, complex data volume analysis) and comfort with PowerPoint to present procurement strategies to executive management.
• Fluent French, Dutch, and English, both spoken and written (essential for interacting across the Benelux region and at the group level); ideally trilingual, or fluent in French/English or Dutch/English.
