Job summary

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Senior Business/Functional Analyst for a consultancy mission at a client site in Belgium. You will act as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions, gathering requirements, modeling information, and writing specifications for AI-assisted development with a human review process.

You will facilitate workshops, map processes, define personas, and establish a functional inventory of the application.

Qualifications

• Strong requirements engineering and specification writing with acceptance criteria (Volere/Robertson).
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies: epics, user stories, story maps, backlog management.
• Data-oriented: good knowledge of SQL and affinity for data analysis and visualization (Power BI, Python).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with content managers, business experts, and key users (both internal and external).
• Map current processes: writing, translation, validation, publication, and depublication.
• Establish a functional inventory of the existing application: search, taxonomy, subscriptions, user profiles.
• Gather and prioritize requirements (MoSCoW) and manage and refine the product backlog.
• Define personas and user journeys (internal collaborator, external professional, citizen, API partner, AI tools).
• Specify the document classification model (public, internal, restricted, embargo) and formalize publication rules with the business.
• Write intention specifications that guide an AI-assisted development pipeline, with clear acceptance criteria.
• Functionally validate increments and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Bridge the gap between business and IT, diving into data (SQL) to support hypotheses.

In this role, you will be part of a senior startup team laying the foundations for a comprehensive multilingual legal and regulatory knowledge base. This position represents an opportunity to work on dynamic projects that enhance public service through modern digital solutions.

Your Role:

As an experienced and motivated Senior Business/Functional Analyst, you will act as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions. You will gather requirements, model information, and write specifications that guide AI-assisted development, ensuring a systematic human review process. This role will be carried out under Keystone Solutions' consultancy model.

Your Profile:

You should have extensive experience as a Business/Functional Analyst in complex IT and data environments. Key qualifications include:

• Strong requirements engineering and specification writing skills with acceptance criteria (e.g., Volere/Robertson, use cases, Gherkin).
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies: epics, user stories, story maps, backlog management.
• Proficient in process and information modeling: BPMN, UML, conceptual/information models.
• Data-oriented: good knowledge of SQL and affinity for data analysis and visualization (Power BI, Python).
• Experience in data modeling and/or data governance is a significant asset.
• Familiarity with API programs and integration patterns (event-driven, pub/sub) is a plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture notations (Archimate, TOGAF) is a plus.
• Languages: Dutch (native or equivalent), good knowledge of French and English.
• Motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a keen sense of both the big picture and the details in data.
