• Minimum 7 years of General Insurance experience (Motor/P&C) as BA or consultant.

• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, product management, IT and compliance.
• Map current and future processes (BPMN/UML) and identify improvements.
• Define test cases and support UAT for system enhancements and launches.

Your role

The Senior Business Analyst / Consultant – General Insurance (P&C / Motor) will be responsible for analysing, designing, and optimizing end‑to‑end processes and systems supporting the General Insurance product portfolio. The role focuses on aligning business requirements with IT solutions and ensuring the efficient delivery of digital transformation initiatives across underwriting, claims, billing, and policy administration within the Belgian P&C market.

Your key challenges are:

• Managing complex functional requirements across multiple insurance lines (Motor, Property, Liability, etc.).
• Ensuring smooth integration between core insurance platforms and digital customer interfaces.
• Aligning process improvements with Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks (IDD, GDPR, FSMA).
• Managing multilingual communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholders (FR/EN/NL).
• Supporting modernization initiatives in a legacy system environment.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

• Analyse and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for insurance systems.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, product management, IT, and compliance teams.
• Map current and future business processes (BPMN/UML) and identify improvement opportunities.
• Define test cases and support UAT for system enhancements and product launches.
• Collaborate with technical architects to ensure functional integrity and scalability of solutions.
• Support process digitalisation and automation initiatives (FNOL, e‑claims, motor assessment).
• Contribute to the integration of third-party services (brokers, reinsurers, repair networks, etc.).
• Ensure data quality, policy accuracy, and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical & Functional requirements:

• Solid understanding of P&C insurance (Motor, Home, Liability, Commercial lines).
• Knowledge of Belgian insurance regulatory framework (FSMA, Assuralia standards).
• Experience with insurance policy administration, claims, and billing systems.
• Proficiency in business analysis methodologies (Agile, BABOK, BPMN).
• Experience with digital platforms and process automation tools.
• Data literacy: ability to analyse and interpret business data (SQL, Power BI, or similar).
• Understanding of integrations via APIs and microservices architectures.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Insurance, or Information Systems.
• Preferred certifications: CBAP, Agile BA, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in General Insurance (Motor/P&C) business analysis or consulting.
• Proven background in insurance process optimisation or digital transformation.
• Experience in BeNeLux insurance markets essential.
• Track record of working on large-scale system or regulatory projects (claims automation, Solvency II, IDD).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication across functional and cultural boundaries.
• Collaborative, proactive, and customer‑oriented approach.
• Ability to handle complex multi‑stakeholder projects in a trilingual environment.
