Job summary

Altia is seeking a Senior BI Data Engineer to lead enterprise data warehousing, Oracle-based pipelines, and reporting ecosystems across EU platforms. You will design and optimize end-to-end BI architectures, govern the semantic layer, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

The role requires deep Oracle, SAP Business Objects, SAS Data Integration, and SAP Data Services expertise, plus experience in GDPR and data governance within hybrid/cloud environments.

Qualifications

• EQF Level 7 (Master's degree or 5 years of higher education).
• Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience.
• Minimum 12 years of hands-on Oracle experience in EDW environments.
• Minimum 8 years with SAP Business Objects (Universe design & admin).
• Minimum 5 years with SAS 9.4 Data Integration.
• Minimum 3 years with SAP Data Services.
• Proven track record with concrete CV-based projects and measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end BI architecture design and implementation across EDW, data lakes, and cloud/hybrid environments.
• Design, build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, dimensional models, and physical schemas.
• Govern BI semantic layer, dashboards, and self-service BI solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, GDPR compliance, and cost/performance optimization for large-scale platforms.
