Job summary

Arendt & Medernach SA in Luxembourg seeks an Experienced Associate in Banking, Insurance & Financial Services to advise leading institutions on cutting‑edge regulatory, commercial and contract matters. You will handle cross-border matters and collaborate with a global team.

You will work on global banking, insurance and financial services M&A deals and contribute memoranda, opinions and contract reviews, with direct interaction with Luxembourg authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record with focus on financial services regulation or banking law.
• Qualified or planning to register for the Bar in Luxembourg.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in English and French; German or Luxembourgish is a plus.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise institutions on regulatory, commercial and contract law for local and cross-border matters.
• Contribute to global banking, insurance and financial services M&A deals and restructurings.
• Draft memoranda and opinions on banking, insurance and financial services issues.
• Review and draft banking, insurance contracts and procedures.
• Assist in regulatory license applications and notifications to Luxembourg authorities.
• Engage in high-stakes litigation and enforcement proceedings.
• Provide trainings on regulatory developments and complex investigations.
