IMEC, based in Leuven, Belgium, seeks a Project Architect Backend to lead ASIC/SoC projects, driving scope, timelines, costs and risk management with a focus on packaging, testing and qualification. You will engage customers in pre-sales, coordinate with design managers, and align with organizational goals while staying ahead of industry trends.

You will escalate project delivery excellence, collaborate across functions, and ensure rigorous technical responses and value creation for our IC-Link

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in microelectronics, EE, physics or equivalent.
• 10+ years in ASIC post-silicon manufacturing: package, test, qualification; knowledge of substrate and assembly, test, wafer sort and JEDEC standards (automotive/space).
• Extensive knowledge of mainstream packages (FCBGA, WLCSP, QFN, QFP) and advanced package technologies (2.5D/3D).
• Experience with OSATs in a global environment; strong project management and commercial awareness.

Responsabilités

• Define scope, timeline, costs and risks to win customer projects.
• Demonstrate IC-Link expertise in packaging, production testing, qualification, and supply chain services.
• Provide technical responses in pre-sales with internal teams and customers; communicate with stakeholders.
• Keep updated on industry trends and imec positioning; contribute ideas and improvements.
