Job summary

Uni Systems is seeking a skilled Back End Software Engineer to join the UniQue team in Belgium. You will build and maintain back-end web apps, APIs, and services, aligning with client needs and security standards.

You will design scalable data stores, implement authentication/authorization, and participate in CI/CD pipelines with containerized deployments on Kubernetes. A strong focus on performance, testing, and documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher with substantial IT experience, or equivalent
• 7+ years IT experience with a Bachelor’s degree
• 12+ years IT experience with secondary education access to higher education
• Proficiency in Python and back-end development
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and web services

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end web applications, services, and business logic
• Design, develop, and optimize APIs and server-side functionality
• Integrate front-end components with back-end systems and databases
• Create scalable, secure data storage solutions and apply security best practices
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability through optimization
• Develop documentation and CI/CD pipelines, including automated tests
