Teamleader is a SaaS scale-up based in Ghent, Belgium, now part of the Visma group. We are looking for a Senior/Lead Backend Engineer to own backend features end-to-end for Teamleader Focus, built on a micro-service architecture primarily in PHP with some TypeScript.

In the first months you’ll be hands-on, then transition into technical leadership and people leadership as you grow. The role involves shaping API design, coaching juniors, and guiding delivery in a fast-paced, hybrid work setting

Qualifications

• Senior backend experience with ownership of features end-to-end
• Leadership potential or track record or ambition with evidence of leading initiatives
• Fluent English communication

Responsabilités

• Own the backend of features and initiatives end-to-end for Teamleader Focus in a micro-service PHP/Typescript stack
• Identify and fix bugs, perform root-cause analysis, and improve code quality and patterns
• Lead technical design discussions across teams and mentor junior engineers
• Monitor and improve API design and avoid abstraction leaks
• Coach junior engineers through pairing, reviews, and questions to foster growth
• Oversee the build, test, and deployment pipeline to ship safely and quickly
• Improve processes and tooling according to the Teamleader way
