Lighthouse in Ghent, Belgium is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Pricing Innovation squad. You will develop our core pricing manager, building distributed services and APIs, and collaborate with data scientists and product managers to deliver high-impact features for hospitality.

You will work in a cross-functional team, using Claude Code to accelerate development, and contribute to frontend tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience with Go or Python/Django.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional squad.
• Architectural mindset with clear opinions on service boundaries and data ownership.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools.
• Product-minded with focus on user and business impact.

Responsabilités

• Develop core pricing manager backend services and APIs.
• Build distributed services, data pipelines, and autopilot infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data science, product managers, and engineers from concept to deployment.
• Influence architectural decisions and trade-offs; own aspects of the system.
• Contribute to frontend code when needed.
• Ensure reliability and performance of pricing exposure to internal services.
