A&O Shearman LLP Belgium is currently looking for an EU-qualified senior associate to join our antitrust practice in Brussels.

Our antitrust team handles competition law before the European Commission, EU courts and national authorities, with cross-border matters and high-profile cartel, merger and behavioural cases.

You will work in a closely integrated team, benefit from early responsibility and international secondment opportunities, and enjoy a supportive training environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law from EU with strong academic results.
• EU legal training completed.
• 6-8 years' experience in antitrust at a reputable law firm.
• Excellent command of English; French or Dutch a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.

To support our continued growth A&O Shearman LLP Belgium is currently looking for an EU-qualified senior associate to join our antitrust practice in Brussels.

Our antitrust practice group consists of 18 specialist lawyers and advises on all aspects of competition law and represents clients before the European Commission, EU courts and national competition authorities. We have consistently been involved in some of the most complex and high-profile cartel cases, behavioural antitrust matters and merger filings.

Who we are looking for

• You have obtained a Master's degree in Law within the EU with strong academic results.
• You have completed your legal training within the EU.
• You have 6-8 years' of experience in the antitrust department of a reputable law firm.
• You have an excellent command of English (written and spoken), knowledge of French and/or Dutch would be a plus.
• You demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
