ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS seeks experienced Application Security Consultants to support complex IT projects. The team will implement and improve an established security framework across multiple environments, embedding security into the software lifecycle and driving practical improvements.

The roles require leading and mentoring across Senior and Medior consultants, applying OWASP Top 10, threat modelling, and risk management while collaborating with development teams to elevate security standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Application Security / Software Security.
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
• Solid knowledge of Security by Design and Security by Default.
• Experience with threat modelling, risk management and security controls.
• Good knowledge of application security standards and practices including OWASP Top 10.
• Experience reviewing or testing application code from a security perspective.
• Ability to communicate security requirements effectively to developers and technical teams.

At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for experienced Application Security Consultants to join a high-impact security team supporting complex IT projects. We are looking for 1 Senior / Team Lead and 3 Medior consultants who can combine strong application security expertise with a pragmatic, technology-agnostic approach. As an Application Security Consultant, you will contribute to the continuous improvement and application of an existing Application Security framework across complex projects. This is an opportunity to work across multiple projects and technologies, helping development teams embed security into their software lifecycle while continuously improving an established application security framework.

Your Mission

• Maintain, evolve and continuously improve the existing Application Security and Secure Development framework.
• Ensure that security requirements and standards are effectively applied across projects.
• Provide security expertise throughout the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
• Support projects in implementing Security by Design and Security by Default principles.
• Apply a consistent, technology-agnostic methodology across applications, back-end systems, mobile solutions and other software environments.
• Contribute to threat and risk management methodologies and their practical application.
• Maintain and evolve a technical security control framework.
• Work with recognised application security principles and standards, including OWASP Top 10.
• Review and test code from an application security perspective and identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Support development teams in improving the security of their code.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and security awareness to developers.
• Contribute to projects involving complex topics such as data encryption and protection.
• Act as a security expert across several projects simultaneously, adapting recommendations to the specific project context.
• Identify opportunities to improve security practices, processes and standards continuously.

For the Senior / Team Lead

In addition to the above, the Senior consultant will:

• Provide technical leadership to the Application Security team.
• Coordinate and support the Medior consultants.
• Act as a senior point of contact for application security topics.
• Help drive the evolution of the security framework and its adoption across projects.
• Challenge existing practices and propose pragmatic improvements aligned with business and technical realities.

Your Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in Application Security / Software Security.
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) principles.
• Solid knowledge of Security by Design and Security by Default.
• Experience with threat modelling, risk management and security controls.
• Good knowledge of application security standards and practices, including OWASP Top 10.
• Experience reviewing or testing application code from a security perspective.
• Ability to communicate security requirements effectively to software developers and technical teams.
• Ability to work across different technologies and architectures without being dependent on a specific technology stack.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP, CISM or equivalent.
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other security professionals.
