Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting an Engineer Manufacturing Technology within Global Engineering and Technology (GET) in Geel, Belgium. The role focuses on scaling APIs from lab to production and introducing new tech platforms to support NPIs and commercial production in a regulated setting.

You will collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Science, Quality, and Clinical Development to deliver safe, efficient and compliant processes while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain, and capital project execution in pharma or regulated industries.
• Ability to balance priorities, uphold confidentiality and navigate high-profile, complex environments with integrity.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills, with a track record of translating business needs into engineering solutions.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch (or willingness to learn).
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Domain Expert for key and emerging technologies in chemical manufacturing.
• Lead introduction and implementation of innovative technology platforms across development and production.
• Lead project intakes, business case analysis, scoping and assessment of alternatives.
• Oversee or lead execution of all project activities with internal teams and contractors.
• Act as domain expert during stage gate reviews of capital projects to enhance outcomes.
• Design and select engineering solutions for production and processing equipment.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional New Product Introduction teams.
