Faktion seeks a Senior AI Engineer to design, implement, and deploy computer vision systems for industrial customers. You will work across the full ML lifecycle—from data exploration to model deployment—balancing accuracy with real‑world constraints.

You will apply hands‑on ML with strong software engineering and MLOps practices, building scalable pipelines and contributing to platform tooling and production readiness across projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, ML or related field.
• Several years of professional experience building ML systems with emphasis on computer vision and deep learning.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Understanding of object detection and image classification, including architectures, losses, augmentation, training and evaluation metrics.
• Experience with OpenCV, YOLO-based architectures, MMDetection or similar ecosystems.
• Experience deploying ML pipelines and models in production.
• Experience with cloud ML platforms such as Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI; Azure is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring for production ML systems.
• Experience optimizing models for real-time or high-throughput inference.

Responsabilités

• Develop, train, evaluate, and maintain computer vision models such as object detection and image classification.
• Build and maintain training and inference pipelines, primarily using Azure Machine Learning.
• Create data pipelines for large image datasets including multispectral imagery.
• Analyze data quality, distribution shifts, labeling issues to improve model performance.
• Define data collection, annotation, preprocessing, feature engineering, and augmentation strategies.
• Collaborate with labeling teams to ensure clean training data.
• Train and deploy models on industrial machines and production systems.
• Optimize models for latency, throughput, memory, and hardware constraints in production.
• Debug production ML components and improve performance through iterative changes.
• Define validation strategies, metrics, and test datasets for ML systems.
• Prototype new architectures and algorithms before production integration.
• Contribute to ML platform tooling, data schemas, training pipelines, deployment tooling, and CI/CD.
