Responsibilities as Senior Accountant:
- Supervise Record-to-Report (RTR) activities, including general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a nearshore team of finance professionals, providing guidance and fostering development.
- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review financial reports with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders on RTR matters, providing updates and resolving issues.
- Oversee financial systems and tools, ensuring effective utilization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in optimizing and automating RTR processes.
- Participate in end-to-end improvement projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation.
The ideal Senior Accountant:
- Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Has a solid understanding of IFRS accounting rules.
- Brings at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within manufacturing or automotive industries.
- Understands shared service center operations, SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Possesses strong expertise in ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA and its FI/CO and Fixed Assets modules.
- Has deep technical knowledge in accounting processes and a passion for automation projects.
- Is a collaborative team player, fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, French, or German is an asset.
- Works in a structured way, adapts well to change, and consistently meets deadlines.
