Electra is accelerating the shift to electric mobility, with a growing team across Europe. We seek a seasoned accountant to own the general ledger and the full statutory accounting cycle for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg within a three‑person finance team.

You will handle closing, reporting, VAT work, and intercompany reconciliations while improving processes and leveraging ERP tools like SAP, Netsuite, Sage or Cegid. Fluency in English and one national language (FR/NL) is required.

Responsabilités

Your Missions

Own the general ledger and the full statutory accounting cycle for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

You’ll be part of a three‑person team: the Finance Manager, a Junior Accountant, and you.

Your responsibilities:

Supervision of general and subsidiary accounting

• General accounting: supervision, review, and correction of general accounting, payroll, fixed assets, taxes, VAT.

• Cost management accounting: review and correction of cost accounting axes.

• Subsidiary accounting: managing customer collections follow‑up, justifying supplier balances, keeping account reconciliation up to date, confirmations (circularization)

• Accounting organization and inventory valuation

Closing and reporting

• Strengthening group closing processes

• Managing calendars and tasks to be completed

• Calculating cut‑offs (prepaid expense provisions, accrued expenses not yet invoiced, accrued expenses, accrued income, etc.)

• Preparing adjustment journal entries and Benelux/HQ reporting bases

• Supervision of VAT work and other tax‑related matters

Your Profile

You have a background in accounting with at least 5 years of experience in similar roles (prior experience in an accounting firm is a plus).

You are rigorous, with strong analytical skills, good command of accounting rules and practices, and the ability to work in a multi-company environment.

You have a collaborative mindset, able to work closely with colleagues.

You are comfortable with Excel and Google Sheets and ideally used to working with an ERP system (SAP preferred, or Netsuite, Sage, Cegid). You enjoy structuring and setting up new processes, learning new tools, and helping your team improve on these tools and processes.

You can work autonomously on your tasks and are motivated to join a growing scale-up!

You have a good command of English, and fluent in one national language (FR/NL) with a working knowledge of the other.
