Alstom in Belgium, based in Charleroi, seeks a Finance professional to join the Accounting Department, coordinating general accounting and treasury while supporting process improvements. You will interact with Belgian sites and India SSC to ensure accurate entries and timely close.
Responsibilities include payroll accounting for Belgium, hedge accounting supervision, regulatory compliance, and auditors' liaison, with cross-functional collaboration across HR and Treasury.

Within the Belgian Finance Department, based in Charleroi, you will join the Accounting Department, which coordinates accounting operations and supports Belgian sites in implementing new processes and tools.
Reporting to the Accounting Processes and Tools Manager, you will work closely with the two main Belgian sites of the Alstom Group to implement accounting processes related to general accounting and treasury, in compliance with Group rules. You will also collaborate with the shared service centers in India to ensure the quality of accounting entries.
In this context, your responsibilities will focus on two main areas:
Preparing and analyzing payroll-related accounting entries for employees in Belgium.
Supervising hedge accounting entries processed at the shared service center in India.
Ensuring regulatory compliance with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preparing Tax Returns incl consolidation and analysis of non deductible expenses
You will work closely with the Group's operational departments (HR, Treasury) and will be the point of contact for the auditors within your area of responsibility.
A graduate in Finance with a specialization in Accounting/Management Control, you have 10 years of experience in a similar role (ideally in a matrix organization).
Dynamic, curious, and motivated, you are proactive and able to work effectively in an environment with diverse stakeholders. You are also capable of implementing new processes and managing change.
You are proficient in IT tools such as SAP and Excel, as well as an electronic invoicing system.
You have a good level of English (both spoken and written); fluency in Dutch would be an asset.
