Octave seeks a Senior Software Developer for Core 2D (C++) to contribute to BricsCAD's 2D workflows, drafting, modeling and BIM capabilities. Join a global team building robust, high-performance CAD software in a hybrid Ghent office.

You will write tests, review code, and collaborate across disciplines in an Agile environment, leveraging C++11+ and modern tooling on Windows, Linux, or macOS, with a strong emphasis on quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong foundation in mathematics (e.g., geometry, linear algebra).
• 3+ years of professional experience in C++ (minimum C++11).
• Full professional fluency in English; Dutch is advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the 2D capabilities of BricsCAD Core 2D, including block management and UI improvements.
• Build and implement efficient software solutions that meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Write thorough tests, participate in code reviews, and follow coding standards for high-quality output.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and align on goals; foster open communication.
• Participate in Agile practices to support planning, progress tracking and reviews.
• Help continuously improve the codebase and adopt new technologies to enhance features.
