KU Leuven's WaveCoRE research group in ESAT seeks a highly motivated PhD candidate to explore semantic-aware, distributed aerial networks for weather sensing using UAVs and WB sensors. Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Solid background in wireless communication and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in non-terrestrial communications and networked UAV/WB systems.
• Design and analyze semantic communication and semantic-aware PHY-MAC cross-layer solutions.
• Collaborate in an international team and contribute to publications and theses.
