Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Senior Security Architect to define and govern enterprise security architecture across IT and OT landscapes in Brussels. You will translate high-level security measures into practical blueprints, ensuring secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles across initiatives.

With 5+ years in security architecture, you will lead cloud security (Azure), IAM, PAM, and SIEM/SOAR deployments, while aligning with NIS2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

Our client, a leading organization in the energy infrastructure sector, is seeking a professional to define and govern their overarching security architecture. The role involves translating high-level security measures into practical implementations and blueprints to ensure a coherent and future-proof posture across the entire IT and OT landscape.

• Develop and maintain security reference architectures, principles, and blueprints in alignment with data and cloud strategies.
• Ensure secure-by-design and Zero Trust principles are integrated into all new developments and architectural standards.
• Define the long-term security technology roadmap and evaluate enterprise-level platforms such as IAM, PAM, and SIEM/SOAR.
• Align organizational security practices with regulatory frameworks including NIS2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• Collaborate with enterprise and domain architects to translate business requirements into strategic security solutions.
• Provide expert guidance for audit activities and oversee pilot programs for emerging security technologies.

• 5+ years of professional experience in security architecture within complex environments.
• Advanced expertise in cloud security focused on the Azure platform.
• Technical proficiency in IAM, PAM, and Network Security.
• Strong knowledge of Application & API Security and Container security.
• Practical experience with SIEM and SOAR for security monitoring and data protection.
• Proven background working in IT/OT environments.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
• You possess a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
• You bring excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to stakeholder collaboration.
• You are fluent in English, French, and Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
