Signatur Biosciences in Liège is looking for a Scientist to own the scientific development of next-generation qPCR-based IVD kits within ISO13485 and IVDR compliance. You will translate objectives into protocols, perform molecular biology techniques, and deliver with autonomy.

The role demands a PhD or MSc in a related field, 3–5 years in molecular biology/qPCR, and strong project management capabilities, with fluency in English and French.

Qualifications

• Master's, PhD or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or a related scientific field.
• 3–5 years of experience in molecular biology / qPCR labs, including hands-on PCR-based assay or kit development.
• Experience developing products inside a regulated environment for in vitro diagnostics, medical devices or clinical diagnostics (design control, risk management, and verification/validation).
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to PCR-based diagnostic kit development under IVDR, from design and feasibility through verification and validation
• Plan, coordinate and manage development projects, ensuring timelines, resources and deliverables are met
• Design, execute and interpret qPCR experiments and nucleic acid extraction protocols; troubleshoot experimental issues and lead investigations of unexpected results
• Write and review study plans, protocols, work instructions and laboratory records per ISO 13485
• Cross-functional collaboration with RAQA Lead and Head of Laboratory Operations to support compliant development outcomes
