Anacura is a family-owned healthcare research organization near Ghent. We seek a Scientist Mass Spectrometry to develop LC-MS methods, operate HRMS instruments and deliver high-quality data for a diverse client base. You will collaborate across teams, maintain compliance with GMP standards, and contribute to scientific conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD (or Master equivalent) with strong MS focus.
• Extensive hands-on LC-MS operation and troubleshooting on high-res platforms.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving; systematic root-cause approach.
• Experience with RP-LC, HILIC or nanoflow LC is a plus.
• Ability to meet high quality/regulatory standards in a dynamic lab.
• Excellent organization and English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop complex LC-MS/MS methods for small molecules, proteins or oligonucleotides.
• Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS and HRMS instrumentation, with routine checks and calibration.
• Provide SME input on Mass Spectrometry and transfer of new workflows.
• Ensure GMP/data integrity compliance and deliver high-quality data/reports.
• Interact with clients to discuss scientific aspects and represent the company at conferences.

Scientist Mass Spectrometry

Roles and responsibilities

• As an analytical scientist, you are involved in the (bio)-pharmaceutical drug development process of our clients.
• You are responsible for the development of complex LC-MS/MS methods for small molecules, proteins and/or oligonucleotides.
• Operate and maintain LC-MS/MS and HRMS instrumentation, including routine performance checks, calibration and (basic) troubleshooting.
• You act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Mass Spectrometry.
• Support the introduction, qualification and transfer of new MS technologies and analytical workflows.
• Support lab operations in full compliance with GMP and data integrity standards.
• You deliver data and reports according to high scientific and quality standards.
• You interact with our clients to discuss scientific aspects.
• You represent Anabiotec/Anacura on scientific conferences.

Skils and qualifications

• PhD (or Master equivalent by experience) in a scientific field with a strong (technical) focus on mass spectrometry.
• Extensive hands-on experience with LC-MS operation and troubleshooting on high resolution mass spectrometry platforms (ideally combined triple quad MS platforms) is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex analytical investigations, using a systematic root-cause approach to distinguish LC-, MS-, sample- and method-related issues.
• Experience with a variety of chromatographic separations (e.g. RP-LC, HILIC) and/or nanoflow liquid chromatography is an additional asset.
• Capable of working to the highest quality standards required to support development, qualification and validation of LC-MS based methods.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic laboratory environment to project timelines.
• Ability to work in a team to respond quickly and reliably to customer needs.
• Knowledge of the latest regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent organization and communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
