Amaris Consulting is seeking an Associate Scientist to provide analytical support for new molecular entities, including small molecules and modalities. The role focuses on Reference Standard characterization, analytical method development, validation, release, and stability testing in a regulated lab.

You will work with LC/IC/GC, develop fit-for-purpose methods, and use CDS systems like Empower/OpenLab to document data. Strong communication in English and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with relevant lab experience.
• Hands-on LC/IC/GC including headspace/ liquid injection for GC.
• Experience in development and validation of analytical methods.
• Experience with chromatography data systems (CDS).
• Knowledge of or experience with cGMP and regulated labs.
• Willingness to develop other techniques like water determination and titrations.
• High standards for experimental quality and data reliability.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Job Description

As an Associate Scientist, you will provide analytical support for new molecular entities, including small molecules and new modalities such as therapeutic peptides, conjugates, and oligonucleotides.

You will contribute to projects from clinical Phase 1 through registration, with a focus on Reference Standard characterization, analytical method development, validation, release, and stability testing.

Your Missions

• Perform analyses for Reference Standard characterization, with a focus on liquid chromatography (LC), ion chromatography (IC), and gas chromatography (GC), including headspace and liquid injection.
• Develop fit-for-purpose LC, IC, and/or GC methods to support accurate purity determination at low reporting thresholds.
• Support product and process characterization, method development, validation, release, and stability activities.
• Evaluate analytical results, draw relevant conclusions, and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Use chromatography data systems (CDS), such as Empower and/or OpenLab, to generate and document reliable data.
• Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, safety standards, analytical methods, specifications, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Manage priorities effectively, take ownership of experimental work, and contribute independently and collaboratively to project activities.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in liquid chromatography (LC), ion chromatography (IC), and/or gas chromatography (GC), including headspace and liquid injection for GC.
• Experience in analytical method development and validation is required.
• Experience with chromatography data systems (CDS), preferably Empower and/or OpenLab.
• General knowledge of cGMP requirements and experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.
• Experience with, or willingness to develop expertise in, other analytical characterization techniques such as water determination and titrations.
• High standards for experimental quality, data reliability, and accountability for results.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, adapt to changing needs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
