Job summary

Engibex is recruiting for a Production Engineering role embedded in a scale-up project in Belgium, focusing on industrializing and scaling infrared sensor and camera production. You will bridge R&D and series manufacturing, implementing repeatable processes and automation on the shop floor.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering, strong data-driven thinking, and familiarity with photonics, precision mechanics, and clean-room environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Affinity with production environments and lab work.
• Strong problem-solving with a structured, data-driven mindset.
• Experience or interest in optical/photonics systems and semiconductor/electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize R&D processes into repeatable production methods for infrared sensors and camera assemblies.
• Analyze production flows, identify bottlenecks, and implement throughput improvements.
• Define and deploy automation for assembly, testing, or inspection steps from concept to deployment.
• Design and implement process controls and SPC-based monitoring for quality.
• Develop and maintain clean room procedures for assembly and testing (ISO class requirements).
• Define, setup, and industrialize optical distortion testing for IR camera assemblies, including test bench and criteria.
