Dekimo is seeking a Satellite Cybersecurity Architect to define and own the cybersecurity architecture across satellite platforms, from on-board software to ground interfaces. The role emphasizes secure development practices, cryptographic key management, and close collaboration with engineering teams.
You will work to embed security by design, ensuring verification through V&V processes and alignment with evolving space cybersecurity standards.
At Dekimo Experts, we support our clients in carrying out innovative projects in the fields of embedded systems, electronics, and cutting‑edge technologies. We work on engineering and R&D projects with a strong technological focus, in demanding environments—often real-time—at the heart of Industry 4.0 challenges.
With over 40 years of experience, we are part of a Belgian group with an international reach, firmly established in Belgium and also present in the Netherlands, France, and Germany. Our consultants contribute to a wide range of projects in cutting‑edge sectors such as aerospace, mobility, medtech, energy, and manufacturing.
Satellites are increasingly connected, software‑defined systems — which means they are also increasingly exposed to cyber threats, from the on‑board software running on our units to the links connecting them to the ground. As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a talented and motivated Satellite Cybersecurity Architect to make sure the software we fly is secure by design and that our satellites cannot be compromised.
As Satellite Cybersecurity Architect, you will define and own the cybersecurity architecture across our satellite platforms: setting the secure development practices our software teams follow, designing and implementing mechanisms such as secure boot, and owning the strategy for how cryptographic keys are generated, distributed, stored, and rotated across the fleet. You will work closely with the Satellite Software Architect, Embedded Software Engineers, and EE/FPGA engineers to embed security into the architecture from the start rather than bolting it on afterwards, and with satellite operators and V&V teams to make sure security requirements are actually verified and hold up in operations.
