Excited to work on a project for a key player in the energy landscape? The Belgian, German, and European energy landscape is in full swing. Did you know that the organization plays a crucial role in this? As part of the organization, a European transmission system operator, the Belgian and German branches ensure the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in both countries.
Side-by-side with other Contingent Workers and internal staff, you will play a part in building a sustainable, green, and reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint. Only together can we make the biggest impact possible! We believe in the power of diversity: we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity, and better results.
We are moving our SAP IT operating model to a product-based approach. As part of this, we're looking for a motivated SAP PM Functional Consultant (junior to medior) with a strong technical interest. The consultant supports and helps develop our OneSAP+ Assets ETB product, which supports the commissioning and maintenance of grid assets through SAP S/4HANA solutions and Fiori apps.
The product team works with SCRUM/Agile and covers both running the current solutions and building new ones. Integration with surrounding systems is used heavily in this area, so the work often goes beyond SAP standard.
We are looking for a consultant who wants to learn and grow and who will actively close the gap between functional consultancy and development. You won't stop at the functional specification. The consultant will dig into the technical analysis yourself and work closely with the developers to find solutions. As an SAP PM Consultant you need to take care of the following tasks:
- Maintain and support the SAP PM solutions of the Assets ETB product as a member of the product team.
- Advise the product team (Product Owner, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts) on requirements, solution options and how they can be implemented.
- Handle new requirements independently, from analysis through functional and technical-oriented specifications to testing and handover to the Business Analysts.
- Support the developers in technical analysis. For example: debugging, analyzing data flows and interfaces, and investigating root causes of incidents together with the developer.
- Analyze and support integration scenarios (e.g., APIs, interfaces to non-SAP systems, mobile and field service solutions), including topics that go beyond SAP standard.
- Contribute to the design and further development of SAP Fiori applications on SAP BTP.
- Proactively monitor the health of the components (workflow logs, short dumps, application logs, interface monitoring, etc.).
- Document the solutions functionally and technically.
- Follow technology and market trends to help keep our solutions up to date.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience as an SAP PM consultant (junior to medior level) in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
- Knowledge of SAP PM standard functionality and customization, ideally including Work Management, Asset Management and Notification Management.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, SAP Fiori and SAP BTP (mandatory).
- A clear technical affinity and the motivation to go deeper into technical topics, such as basic ABAP understanding (reading and debugging code), OData services, CDS views, interfaces/APIs and integration monitoring.
- Openness to working on integration-heavy topics, and curiosity to understand how the full solution works end to end.
- Ability to give developers clear context and hands-on support, and to act as the bridge between business analysts and development.
- Experience with SAP MM and/or SAP mobile/field service solutions (e.g., SAP Service and Asset Manager) is a plus.
Other requirements
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good functional documentation skills
- Team player
