The candidate will lead month‑end activities, work with implementation partners, and ensure timely incident resolution while maintaining SLAs. Start date is Nov 2026 for a 6‑month engagement.

SAP FICO Functional Consultant

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: November 2026
Experience: 8-10 years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to support SAP Finance processes, system enhancements, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling, with experience in cross-functional SAP processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, enhance, and test SAP FI and CO functionalities.
• Work extensively with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cash Management, Credit Management, and Payment Processing.
• Support month-end closing activities using SAP Closing Cockpit (FCLOCO) and automatic closing processes.
• Manage implementation partners and coordinate activities through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare functional specifications, test cases, documentation, and work plans.
• Support integration across SAP SD, MM, PP, and PS modules.
• Resolve production incidents and maintain accurate service tickets.
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure timely incident resolution and compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Support system testing, integration testing, and UAT activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8-10 years of relevant SAP experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules.
• Hands-on experience with General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
• Experience with payment processes, dunning, credit management, cash management, and month-end closing.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications, test cases, and technical-functional documentation.
• Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules, including SD, MM, PP, and PS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with implementation partners and cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA or BW on HANA.
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Knowledge of SAP FICA processes, including contract accounts, billing, payments, clearing, and collections.
• Experience with integration testing and UAT execution.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
