Our Client is seeking an experienced SAP Data Manager to lead complex data transformation, migration and governance programmes. You will guide data extraction, cleansing, mapping and validation, and oversee governance frameworks across SAP S/4HANA transformations.

You will manage senior consultants and cross-functional teams, drive client workshops, and ensure successful delivery within scope, budget and timelines. English fluency and a strong data leadership background are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in SAP data transformation, data migration, data governance or large-scale enterprise data programmes.
• Approximately 2-3 years of experience in a senior delivery, workstream leadership, team leadership or senior technical role.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration and/or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end data migration including data extraction, profiling, cleansing, mapping, loading, validation and reconciliation.
• Professional fluency in English and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline.

SAP Data Manager

The role

As an SAP Data Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex SAP data transformation, migration and governance programmes.

What you will do

SAP data transformation and delivery

As a Manager, you will:

• 
  Lead SAP data migration, data management and/or data governance workstreams, particularly as part of SAP S/4HANA transformations.
• 
  Define the overall approach and strategy for migrating data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA.
• 
  Oversee activities such as data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, validation, loading and reconciliation.
• 
  Design and implement data governance and data-management approaches for clients.
• 
  Advise clients on data quality, ownership, governance, migration and master-data best practices.
• 
  Oversee solutions using technologies such as SAP BODS/Data Services, Syniti ADM, SNP CrystalBridge, SAP MDG, SimpleMDG and other ETL/data migration tools.
• 
  Ensure data solutions integrate effectively with the wider SAP programme and business processes.
• 
  Drive the adoption of modern SAP, AI and data technologies where they provide meaningful business value.
• 
  Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your project or data workstream.
• 
  Manage delivery against agreed scope, timelines, budget and quality standards.
• 
  Plan and allocate work across the data team.
• 
  Review the work and deliverables of Senior Consultants, Consultants and technical specialists.
• 
  Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
• 
  Coordinate data activities across functional, technical and business teams.
• 
  Ensure that migrated data is appropriately tested, validated and accepted before go-live.
• 
  Support successful implementation, cutover and adoption of the solution.
• 
  Lead, coach and develop Consultants and Senior Consultants.
• 
  Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers.
• 
  Understand clients' business objectives and translate them into practical data strategies and solutions.
• 
  Lead client workshops and discussions around data strategy, migration, governance and delivery.
• 
  Present recommendations, project status, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders.
• 
  Act as a trusted adviser on SAP data transformation and governance.

Business development

You will also:

• 
  Contribute to proposals and the design of SAP data solutions for prospective clients.
• 
  Help define project scope, approach, effort and resource requirements.
• 
  Identify additional opportunities to support existing and prospective clients.
• 
  Contribute to the continued development of the SAP Data practice and its capabilities.

Essential experience and skills

You should have:

• 
  7+ years of professional experience in SAP data transformation, data migration, data governance or large-scale enterprise data programmes.
• 
  Approximately 2-3 years of experience in a senior delivery, workstream leadership, team leadership or senior technical role.
• 
  Strong experience delivering data workstreams as part of SAP transformation programmes.
• 
  Experience working with SAP S/4HANA data migration and/or transformation projects.
• 
  Strong understanding of end-to-end data migration, including:

    Data extraction

    Data profiling and cleansing
  • 
    Data mapping and transformation
  • 
    Data loading
  • 
    Data validation and reconciliation
  •

• 
  Strong understanding of data governance and data-management principles.

  Experience leading complex projects involving multiple business and technical stakeholders.
• 
  Experience taking responsibility for project/workstream deliverables, quality and timelines.
• 
  Demonstrated experience leading, coaching or mentoring team members.
• 
  Experience communicating with and influencing senior client stakeholders.
• 
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 
  Professional fluency in English.
• 
  A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Data Science or a related discipline.
• 
  The right to work in Belgium.

This role is best suited to an experienced SAP Data professional who has progressed from hands‑on migration/governance delivery into leading teams, workstreams and client relationships on SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
