OTIV, a Ghent-based company at the forefront of autonomous rail technology, seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop ADAS-related software, focusing on real-time perception, sensor fusion and decision-making.

The role involves combining machine learning with traditional computer vision and heuristics, collaborating with ML and data teams, and delivering robust, testable software in C++/Rust for real-time railway environments. A hybrid setup in Ghent is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in robotics software development (C++/Rust).
• Master in computer engineering, robotics, or mathematics.
• Fluent in English and able to work in an international environment.

Responsabilités

• Algorithm design, implementation and testing.
• System-level testing and validation.
• Proof-of-concept implementations in Python/C++/Rust; production-ready in C++/Rust.
• Integrate ML-based and rule-based perception and control approaches.
• Collaborate closely with ML, data and software engineers to deliver robust ADAS software.
