The Hanover Insurance Group in Brussels is looking for an ambitious Intern to support the team on EU policy and communications. Responsibilities include monitoring legislative developments, conducting targeted research, and assisting with event organisation and communications efforts.

This internship lasts 6 months, with the potential for extension, and requires strong understanding of EU institutions. The successful candidate will ideally have a relevant degree and excellent English skills.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of EU institutions and decision-making process.
  • Previous internship in EU institutions/Trade Association is an asset.
  • Quick learner enjoying a fast-paced working environment.

Position

Hanover is looking for an ambitious and motivated Intern to join our team in Brussels. The successful candidate will support the team on policy and communications across a number of EU policy areas. Key responsibilities will include drafting policy materials, monitoring policy developments, evaluating and researching services, supporting events (organisation and attendance) as well as administrative support with clients and new business activity.

Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions and EU decision‑making process; previous internship in EU institutions/Trade Association is an asset
  • Self‑motivated team player
  • Quick learner enjoying a fast‑paced working environment
  • Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, AI tools, social media/marketing tools)
  • Excellent oral and written English is essential; knowledge of other European languages is an asset
  • Relevant degree, preferably in law, EU studies or political science

The internship lasts 6 months, with potential to extend. It is Brussels‑based, and the successful applicant is expected to start at the end of August.
