Trasis, Liège, Belgium, is seeking a Head of Product Development. You will lead product development execution, translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, and manage portfolios across disciplines to accelerate time-to-market.

You will hold a Master’s degree in a science-related field and have 7+ years of experience in regulated medical device or pharmaceutical product development, including team leadership. French and English fluency is essential.

As Head of Product Development, you are responsible for turning our strategic ambitions into tangible results by coordinating product development activities, setting priorities, and ensuring rigorous execution in support of our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

You define and refine the product development execution strategy to support the company’s business and technological ambitions.

You translate strategic directions into clear, prioritized, and achievable roadmaps.

You manage the product development portfolio by balancing priorities, resources, and timelines.

You ensure alignment between product requirements, strategic objectives, and the teams’ execution capabilities.

You accelerate time‑to‑market by fostering effective collaboration among teams and stakeholders.

You ensure smooth communication between senior management, development teams, and other key players in product development.

You anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure critical decisions are sound across the entire portfolio.

You ensure that commitments regarding deadlines, costs, quality, and performance are met.

You drive the evolution of methods, processes, and standards to enhance the organization’s efficiency and scalability.

You identify, anticipate, and manage complex situations (conflicts, underperformance) by implementing appropriate measures and ensuring regular follow‑up. You define the profiles to be recruited and participate in the hiring process. You develop talent and skills within your team.

Profile:

You hold a Master’s degree in a science‑related field (chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, engineering, or equivalent).

You have at least 7 years of experience in the development of medical devices or pharmaceutical products, or in a comparable regulated environment, including team management.

You have proven experience leading complex development programs or portfolios involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.

You communicate fluently in French and English.

You combine strategic vision with the ability to translate ambitious goals into concrete action plans.

You know how to make decisions, manage complexities, and drive projects forward amid multiple demands.

You demonstrate leadership and assertiveness.

You are results‑oriented, focused on continuous improvement, and committed to finding solutions.
