VITO is seeking a motivated researcher to contribute to innovative remote sensing solutions for monitoring and enhancing maritime security. You will analyze diverse data sources, design analysis workflows, and support projects in collaboration with partners across sectors.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree and have experience in remote sensing, data science, and data fusion. Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to a fast-paced research environment is essential, with NATO

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Bioscience Engineering or related field.
• Background in remote sensing, data science, or related domain.
• Experience processing optical/hyperspectral and radar/RF data and data fusion.
• Drone-based image processing (UAV/USV) experience is an asset.
• Programming skills in Python, R, and Google Earth Engine.

Responsabilités

• Analyse, interpret, and combine multiple data sources (radar, RF, optical, etc.) for maritime security applications.
• Design and implement data analysis workflows and algorithms.
• Provide scientific and technical follow-up of projects and support coordination within the team.
• Support project proposals, reports, and scientific publications.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners in multidisciplinary R&I projects.
