Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Business Intelligence Expert to join a leading IT services company. The role is full-time and remote, with EU eligibility. The candidate will work with the development team and major client IT teams on-site as needed.

The ideal candidate has a Master in IT and 17 years of experience, with at least 2 years in Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric, strong data lakehouse knowledge, and proficiency in cloud-based data engineering. Excellent English is required.

Qualifications

• Master degree in IT with 17 years of professional IT experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of data lake and lakehouse design.
• Knowledge of relational database systems.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases (CosmosDb, MongoDb).
• Familiarity with Spark notebooks and IaC and version control.
• Ability to adapt to fast-changing cloud data engineering and AI tech.
• Desired certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Fabric Data Engineer, or Azure Cloud Solution Architect.
• Knowledge of Generative AI prompting and memory techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of Azure Policy and AWS IaC and ML workflows is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain Data Lakehouses with cloud infrastructure aspects.
• Adjust architecture for public cloud, including multi-cloud data distribution.
• Gather business requirements and design ETL processes and data models.
• Analyze performance and optimize data flows from source systems to clients.
• Design Data Quality and Health Monitoring processes.
• Adapt data for AI usage (ontologies, indexing) and support AI workflows.
• Interact with business analysts, customers, users, project teams and developers.
• Provide governance and compliance documentation.
