VITO Research is seeking a skilled Earth Observation specialist to develop and operate next-generation satellite data processing solutions. You will bridge scientific insights with software development to produce calibrated, georeferenced EO data products from diverse satellite missions.

The role emphasizes collaboration across researchers, software/system engineers, and business developers, with a strong focus on automated processing pipelines and data-driven decision support.

Qualifications

• Advanced programming in Python and C++ with scientific/geospatial libraries.
• Strong background in EO processing from Raw data to Level 2 products.
• Experience with scalable image processing workflows and automation.

Responsabilités

• Define EO products with customers and engineers to meet mission objectives.
• Translate requirements into algorithms and data products for processing chains.
• Develop and maintain processors/workflows for calibration, correction and analysis-ready EO data.
• Improve algorithms for geometric/radiometric processing and atmospheric correction.
• Build scalable workflows to handle large volumes of EO data across missions and sensors.
• Support proposal preparation, feasibility studies and project execution with EO expertise.
