Lever, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Python and Kubernetes skills to join a distributed, open source oriented team based in Belgium.

You will build Python-based operations software to automate workloads on Kubernetes, engaging with Linux, networking, storage, and containers in production environments. Work across global teams, follow agile practices, and contribute to reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, STEM, or a related technical field.
• Strong professional experience developing software with Python.
• Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration and production operations.
• Practical experience with at least one public cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and an understanding of containerized environments.
• Strong engineering discipline with testing, maintainable code, and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain open source operations software using Python, with a focus on reliable and scalable workloads on Kubernetes.
• Work across the Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, and applications.
• Develop solutions that improve reliability, automation, and operational efficiency of complex open source systems.
• Build and improve monitoring and alerting infrastructure to support production operations.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure products operate reliably, efficiently, and at production scale.
• Follow agile software development methodologies and contribute to development workflows.
• Share technical knowledge and coach colleagues to strengthen engineering capabilities.
• Work remotely while participating in global events, with occasional travel for team sprints.
