Job summary

DataCamp is building an AI tutoring system that adapts in real time to learners. You will work on core AI components, including prompt architectures, agentic workflows, and scalable software integrations to deliver personalized tutoring experiences.

You will run experiments, design evaluation metrics, and collaborate with educators, content creators, and product teams to translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions, while ensuring quality, safety, and observability of the system.

Qualifications

• 1+ years building complex LLM-based systems with prompt engineering
• Ability to design evaluation methods with custom metrics
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, Python, CI/CD familiarity

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the core AI tutoring system, including prompt architectures and real-time adaptive behaviors.
• Run rigorous experimentation and evaluation with custom metrics for learning effectiveness.
• Design and implement scalable software, integrating AI with platform systems and UX.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with educators, content creators, and product teams to translate pedagogy into tech solutions.
• Prototype and productionize novel model interactions, leveraging emerging research.
