Job summary

Jobgether SRL in Belgium seeks a Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect to drive architecture and leadership on a telecom platform. You will balance hands-on Java/Spring Boot with architectural leadership, shaping domain models, APIs, and integrations while mentoring three full-stack developers.

You will collaborate with UK-based stakeholders and international teams, focusing on secure authentication, cloud-native delivery on AWS, and modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial Java development experience.
• 2+ years in Tech Lead, Solution Architect, or related leadership role.
• Telecommunications sector experience preferred.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot backend development.
• Frontend guidance with React/TypeScript.
• Design and delivery of microservices and integrations.
• Experience with TM Forum Open APIs.
• Security: OAuth2, OIDC, Spring Security, RBAC.
• Cloud/DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Excellent English communication with UK clients and international teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture for customer portal and integration platform.
• Lead technical discovery and define MVP strategy.
• Design scalable systems with domain models, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Contribute hands-on Java/Spring Boot coding and critical integrations.
• Mentor three developers and drive technical planning.
• Set coding standards, code reviews, and quality gates.
• Guide frontend architecture with React/TypeScript.
• Design enterprise integrations with reliable patterns.
• Lead security and workflow design (OAuth2, RBAC, OIDC).
• Collaborate with DevOps/QA on AWS, CI/CD, and deployments.
• Document ADRs and communicate decisions to UK stakeholders.
• Explore AI-powered development practices.
