Hospitality Talents is seeking a Freelance Maintenance Manager / Chief Engineer for a remote Belgium-based position. You will oversee hotel renovation projects and ensure seamless technical operations across Ghent, Antwerp, and Brussels, supervising a maintenance team and coordinating with contractors.

You should have proven experience in luxury hospitality maintenance, strong project management skills, and fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer in 4-5 hotels or luxury hospitality.
• Strong background in hotel renovation projects (planning to execution).

Responsabilités

• Supervise ongoing renovation works across hotel properties, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Liaise with contractors, architects, and internal teams to minimize operational disruptions.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hospitality standards.
• Manage and mentor the technical maintenance team (in-house and external).
• Organize work schedules and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.
• Provide daily/weekly reports on project progress and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with General Managers and Asset Management teams.
