Partner Company in Belgium is seeking an ML Research Engineer/Scientist to join a research-driven team for next-gen AI models in medical imaging. You will work on foundation models, vision-language learning, and multi-finding detection using CT data at scale, with production-ready research guiding real-world patient care.

The role blends deep technical research with clinical impact, offering ownership of experiments end-to-end in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience with modern ML and deep learning, using PyTorch for custom architectures and experiments.
• Ability to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and iterate toward better models.
• Experience with rigorous experimentation, evaluation, and reproducibility.

Responsabilités

• Design, train, and evaluate ML models for interpreting complete CT studies at the study level.
• Research foundation-model approaches for medical imaging at large scale.
• Develop vision-language models linking images with radiology reporting terminology.
• Collaborate with radiologists, ML, and software teams to translate research into production-ready systems.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and clinical deployment readiness.
