RemoteJobsOne is seeking a Hardware Expert for a fully remote, contractor-style role with Belgium-based candidates being considered. The project focuses on AI training involving technical drawings, computational geometry, and Python-driven CAD workflows.

You will convert dimensioned schematics into precise 3D models, export STEP files, and validate geometry under strict requirements. Flexible hours, approx. 15 hours/week, paid by task, and global remote access are offered.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python programming for CAD tasks.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong 3D spatial reasoning and precision in geometry.
• Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.

Responsabilités

• Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings.
• Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Decompose complex components into appropriate geometric features.
• Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry.
• Export valid, watertight solid models in formats such as STEP.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties.
• Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry.
