Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Bioinformatics Expert/Analyst Developer to support Vaccines Quality Control by analyzing high-throughput sequencing data and building bioinformatics pipelines. You will collaborate with local QC, Analytical R&D, IT, and scientific teams, applying C++ and Python skills to implement NGS for QC release and to validate pipelines and the IT environment.

Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with 3+ years on complex computational or bioinformatics projects.
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, Perl, Bash, Slurm, Git and Nextflow; experience in scientific software development, maintenance, and user support.
• Solid experience in NGS data analysis, genomics, data mining, ML, or related computational disciplines.
• Good knowledge of R and Bioconductor, SQL, Linux, HPC environments, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with GMP requirements, QC processes, pipeline validation, and biological databases such as NCBI, Ensembl, GEO, or SRA.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced bioinformatics analyses on large-scale NGS datasets for Vaccines QC.
• Develop, maintain, and improve bioinformatics pipelines and tools using C++ and Python.
• Define GMP requirements for implementing NGS in QC release with local QC teams.
• Support validation of bioinformatics pipelines and IT/informatics readiness.
• Contribute to data modelling, microbial genomics, assay development, and analysis strategy.
• Summarise results for internal teams, regulatory documents, publications, and congress materials.
• Provide user support and manage several projects independently with various stakeholders.
