Job summary

SME Careers is seeking an Attorney / Lawyer SME for an hourly, remote contractor role to review AI-generated legal responses and craft expert content. You will assess reasoning quality, identify errors, and provide precise feedback and model answers that demonstrate strong legal analysis.

Requirements include a JD/LLB and active bar membership, 5+ years of practice, excellent drafting skills, and C1 English. Prior AI data training or knowledge-management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

JD/LLB and active bar membership (or eligibility) in at least one jurisdiction.
5+ years of professional law experience.
Strong issue spotting and structured legal analysis (rules → application → conclusion).
Experience in commercial/contracts, employment, privacy, corporate, litigation, IP, real estate or compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard legal outputs (issue analyses, drafting examples, checklists, policies, and memos).
Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve correctness, clarity, defensibility, and risk awareness.
Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, confidentiality risks, and bias; validate reliability across legal scenarios.
