Elia Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer to help build a leading knowledge centre for asset management within the company, focusing on risk-based, condition-based, remote and predictive maintenance.

You will develop processes, concepts and IT tools, collaborate across functions, and contribute to international groups while supporting strategic partnerships with Redeia and advancing risk-management training for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics or applied mathematical engineering is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Python and data processing required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to synthesize complex information.
• Fluent in French or Dutch and English; cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Continuously improve asset management concepts, processes and methods at Elia (risk-based maintenance, cost/performance management, replacement policies).
• Ensure alignment with best practices (FMECA, condition-based maintenance) and ISO/IEC standards.
• Identify business impacts and transformation needs.
• Lead cross-functional projects to develop IT tools, data systems and document management for asset management.
• Advise asset managers on new maintenance policies using risk-and-cost optimization.
• Contribute to the strategic partnership with Redeia (Spanish grid operator).
• Contribute to international working groups (IEC, IMdR).
• Train asset managers and stakeholders in asset and risk management methodologies.
